The last seven days has been very different with catches reported well in the early stages of the week, but the back end of the week proved very hard with catch rates dipping due to the sudden drop in temperatures, minus 5 was reported at Shepherds Port on Saturday and minus 3 was reported on the banks of Ten Mile on Sunday. Early in the week catches were being reported from both Ten Mile and Shepherds Lake. . Ten Mile Bank, early reports of bream skimmers roach and perch all showing well during the early part of the week, nets to 20lb were being reported from Ten Mile on the Chapel -Modney Bridge stretch, bream skimmers and roach were all showing well on the tip and pole line.Danby Drove also produced some rewarding catches with skimmers showing well at this end of Ten Mile nets to 13lb had been reported. Specimen anglers were also finding the fish with a few pike showing around the Wissey Mouth stretch. Perch have also been targetting small pieces of worm and small spinners and lures, jacks have been present at most of the favoured stretches. As the week progressed catches became more difficult as the frosts arrived, catch rates stared to slow off,Saturday and Sunday became very hard as the fish started to descend into deeper water .Nets to over 20lb have again been reported during the last seven days and with milder conditions forecast during the later stages of this week hopefully catches will continue to show. . Middle Level,a few anglers mainly predator anglers have been on the banks of the level all though no reports have been forthcoming a few jacks have been coming out and the odd pike to 15lb has been seen caught. Peters through to Mortons has been the more rewarding for the predator anglers. . Shepherds Lake has been bearing the fruits earlier in the week but catches did start to dry up during a very cold weekend. bream, carp and skimmers were all showing well up until Friday, silvers had been feeding steadily but during the weekend all went very quiet and the fishing became really hard, even the silvers disappeared to deeper waters. . The next meeting of the Kings Lynn PAC will be on Thurs 26Th Jan at the William Burt Centre 7.30pm the guest speaker will be Top Pike angler and TV Fishing Presenter Mick Brown.
