The last seven days has proved difficult for the anglers on the banks, Only the hardened anglers around during the last seven days  with reports being very slow and hard.
The rivers are running completely gin clear all though a bit of rain has fell during the last week. Heavy frosts also featured during the last week which didn't help to stabilize the water temperature. Predator anglers have been the vast majority of the anglers on the bank, at the Middle Level with roving anglers between Peters to Crooked Chimney seeking to find there targeted species. A couple of pike have been recorded to nearly 10lb but a lot of jacks and smaller pike to 5lb have been showing on both dead and live baits. small plugs and jellie lures have been attracting the better perch and the odd small Zander.
Ten Mile Bank, Still the odd one or two match anglers around on Tmb , fish now becoming very shoaled up as the colder weather arrives, roach showing on the pole line but bites are slow unless the the shoals are in the swim. Ground bait is still holding the fish in the swim once they arrive. Predator anglers still roving between Modney and the Railway Bridge some finding the odd pike but jacks are showing more, the odd Zander to 3lb has also been reported.  A couple of larger pike have been reported the 1st a 16lb 9oz has been reported from the Danby stretch and the other a 15lb 3oz has shown at the Denver-Piggeries stretch.
Shepherds Port, Shepherds Lake  also very quiet during the last week with only the odd angler braving the blustery conditions and cold wind coming off the sea, plenty of roach and rudd still feeding strongly on both the whip and pole, 3  to 9meters has been the more rewarding line to try. pinkie maggot bread and castor all finding the fish.
Merry Christmas and tight lines for 2012.
