A very interesting week has been had by anglers on the kl waters, plenty of fish reported on the rivers. Sheffield anglers Gary Westoby, Richard Westoby and Gary's son Louis are regular visitors to klaa waters and have really been finding the Specimen pike on the Level. During the Last fortnight the trio have had some quality pike all from the Level between the Aquaduct and Pingle Bridge the 1st weekend they claimed a couple of pike 24lb 2oz and a 24lb, and last weekend they found another 5 pike into double figures, 23lb 8oz, 19lb 2oz, 18lb 8oz, 14lb, 10lb and a 6lb all caught on the same set up a float fished dead bait. Gary reported that he couldn't understand why they saw no other anglers on the bank, but the trio do not hesitate to travel over two and a half hours to reach there favoured waters. Ten Mile Bank, plenty of fish showing on the Railway- Modney Bridge stretch, both tip and pole finding the fish with nets to 15lb being reported from various locations through out this stretch. maggot,hemp,worm and caster are all bringing in the fish over a sweet ground bait. Cut Off Channel as anglers start to gather on this old favourite winter water, catches are now being reported. John Cullom has been successful in finding a zander to 8lb and a pike to 16lb 4oz , also other anglers reporting nets of skimmers and roach to over 17lb as the weed has now started to clear, all though the water is clear to about 4ft abit of colour has appeared in the deeper water this giving the fish the confidence to feed. Shepherds lake continues to flourish with plenty of anglers around,all remarking how well the new platforms look,and also catching plenty of fish,carp have been feeding strongly again during the last week, bream and skimmers also feeding well at3/4 the way across the lake,caster worm and double red maggot all finding the bream and skimmers, tench have been showing well around the margin swims at the top end of the lake, pegs 1-5and 26,27,28. whip and pole anglers reporting double figure nets of just roach and rudd. pinkie and maggot working well. Junior News, lynn juniors were on the Sibsey Trader at Boston on Sunday, a difficult time was had by all the anglers as the water level had been dropped by 2 feet during the last week, lynn accounted themselves well and finished in 3rd place on the day, Tom Cockle secured a section win,Kirsty Reed and Harry Blackmur also scooped section wins by default, Adam Swain continued his good start to the season with a 2nd place overall. West Norfolk academy scooped the team honours on the day, with Ciaron Woolhouse scoring a fine individual performance. Overall league positions, 1st Kings Lynn, 2nd Lincoln,3rd WNAC, 4 Boston,5th Lynn b, 6th Immingham. Match Date; John Russel memorial match Sunday 20th November at Littleport, match fees are £10.00 all in this includes a £5.00 donation to the RNLI the other £5.00 goes into the prize fund.
