The last seven days has been very rewarding on the the banks of the Great Ouse, Ten Mile Bank has been very successful during the last week with plenty of fish showing.
Roach, bream  skimmers tench and perch have all been showing well as conditions favoured the anglers. Local fen match anglers Mark Smith 137lb and Jess Rocket 36lb finally proved that there are still decent bream catches to fished for at TMB. Fishing there favoured October hot spots, sitting on the hands was the order of the day as the bites were not that easy to recognise due to the large number of bream moving across the river, this could have been the weights anglers could have got during last weeks angling trusts eastern region shield had the conditions been more favourable like this weekend.
Elsewhere on Ten Mile bream to 5lb have been showing on the tip and the pole, skimmers to nearly 3lb and roach to 12oz have all been featuring heavily in nets caught. worm, caster maggot and hemp all finding the fish when presented on the hook.
Railway Bridge to Modney Bridge has seen the more anglers as the word gathers around the bank on the big catches. Danby has also been attracting a fair few anglers in search of the bream ,skimmers and roach.nets reported to 27lb 3oz from this end of TMB.
Middle Level all though the level has gone quiet work has now started on the bridge at Peters 50% of the car park is being used by the contractors, the work should last approx 3 weeks  this still leaves plenty of parking availble for the speciman anglers which have now started to decend on the level. Crooked Chimney -Mortons has seen the odd angler around with catches of roach and skimmers reported.
Little Ouse, the old winter stomping ground for many river men has also seen the first few anglers starting to find the fish, roach, dace and bleak showing in nets to nearly 10lb ,pole, whip and waggler all producing well, as the colder weather arrive more roach start to shoal up at this end of the little ouse so encouring times could be had by the hardened angler.
Cut off Channel, as the duck weed starts to move away alot of fish showing between Hilgay and Fordham encouraging signs as plenty of fish topping between the bridges.
Tottenhill, still plenty of carp and bream feeding as the tempratures continue to stay relatively stable, corn and maize still attracting the better carp on the tip whilst 4-6mm pellet finding the bream and the larger roach. Tench have also still been feeding allthough not as frequently as the bream and carp.
Shepherds Port still fishing well during the last seven days plenty of mixed bags on Shepherds, with bream, skimmers, carp, roach rudd and small chub still showing. all methods finding the fish with pinkie, maggot, corn, pellet, worm and caster all working well as hookbaits.Bear lake and queens still attracting the odd angler, fish showing but not as productive as shepherds.
