Following discussions at many committee meetings we decided that the east bank swims on Shepherds lake needed some repair following many of them becoming badly undermined and unstable. We decided that instead of having a wooden platform, we would replace these with a much larger enclosed swim with stone basket underneath to block erosion. As the picture shows, good progress has been made this week and new steps will be installed into the bank next week to complete the job. The £6000 project is jointed funded by the EA and KLAA.
