As one water starts to slow off another starts to flourish, September becomes a tricky month as anglers decide to weather to visit the level or Ten Mile or even the Cut Off Channel but as normal the fishing on the level has started to dry up. During the last seven days anglers have struggled up and down the level with only a handful of fish showing, The more prolific end between St Germans and Peters has been hard going with only a small handful of roach reported.
Cut Off Channel, during the last three years the Cut Off  has struggled with form and only the odd angler has ventured down to this old favoured haunt, but this year the fish are back with a vengeance  with roach showing well between Hilgay Bridge and Fordham , bream and tench are also showing around the old favoured pegs. This could become a familiar venue again as the fish return.
Ten Mile Bank  plenty of anglers around during the last week with catches showing throughout the Ouse, Piggeries has seen a few anglers during the last week and reports of Roach and skimmers showing on the pole line and the tip, Wissey Mouth - Railway Bridge the better fishing has been away from the mouth towards the railway bridge with bream skimmers roach and perch all reported during the last seven days, tip and pole both finding the fish bream slightly further out than the pole line but roach have been feeding consistently between 11-16 meters, ground bait to hold the fish in the swims, with loose feed of pinkie hemp and maggot all finding the fish.perch showing around the margin swims when using worm or red/bronze maggot.
Railway Bridge- Browns Farm another popular venue with a fair few anglers on the banks, all catching and some catching well, nets to 20lb have been reported with skimmers roach and bream all showing in the nets, Tench also feeding along this stretch supported by the odd perch to nearly a pound. Pole anglers reaping the rewards along this stretch but the tip has produced the bigger fish, worm, castor, coloured maggot and hemp all used over ground bait on the pole. small sections of worm on the tip has been producing well.
Chapel- Modney Bridge, also producing quality catches with bream, skimmers, and roach being the bulk of the fish reported in nets reported over 18lb 9oz. Both the tip and pole working equally as well.
Tottenhill, has seen a slight decline of anglers but those who have been on the bank have still been finding the carp, corn and maize presented on a method feeder also hard halibut 10 mm pellets have been successful. Bream have also been feeding well on 6mm expanders on both the pole and the tip. tench also showing around the lilly pads.
Shepherds Port very busy towards the later stages of the week with anglers situated on all the lakes, all though reports have been slow coming in plenty of fish still feeding well on all the lakes.
