The last seven days has seen an increase in catch rates, but as the weekend approached conditions began to change with winds gusting to near 50mph sending anglers away from the waters into the confines of there homes. Saturday and Sunday the winds became really strong and only sheltered swims on lakes and some sections on the river profited.
Middle Level started off brightly during the early part of the week, St Germans through to Neepes was producing quality catches through out the stretch Skimmers to nearly 3lb and the odd bream to just over 4lb was showing well on both the tip and pole line, roach were also feeding strongly and hemp and tares has started to select the better stamp of quality roach to a lb, rudd have still continued to feed well at the bottom end at St Germans. Neepes has seen a more consistent catch of roach with the odd perch and skimmer. Nets over 37lb have been reported at Peters and Peppers, bridge swims have also been favoured during the last week.
Morton's- Pingles not many anglers around but of those who have fished the top end of the level a few good catches have been reported, the odd tench has also been showing with perch, roach, skimmers and the odd small bream to 3lb. Tip anglers maybe slightly be gaining an advantage than the pole anglers. maggot, caster, worm and hemp all finding the fish.
Ten Mile Bank, has started to find its form again with fish showing at the majority of the autumn hot spots, Wissey mouth - railway bridge bream, skimmers and roach showing well on the tip and the pole, with nets to 30lb plus reported. Railway bridge - Browns has been producing skimmers, bream roach, tench and perch, catches reported to over 27lb, maggot,worm,caster all finding the fish over a  coloured ground bait whilst feeding small amounts of hemp.
Chapel- Modney Bridge roach and skimmers showing well on the tip also on the pole lines at 11-13 meters. this spells good news as practises start to take place for the forth coming eastern region shield in early October.
Tottenhill/ Shepherds Port, all the lakes still fishing well with carp feeding strongly at both Tottenhill and Shepherds Lake, Tottenhill, method feeder with corn and maize and hard 10,mm pellet are finding the better fish with this weeks biggest fish a 14lb 9oz common, whilst Shepherds Lake also producing a near 15 pounder with a common of 14lb 11oz recorded when using a method feeder and a 8mm white boilie on a hair. Bream also feeding strongly on Shepherds,Queens and Tottenhill, pellet and expander's at Tottenhill, worm and corn at Shepherds and Queens. Silvers also feeding well on both Queens and Shepherds, tench also continuing to feed at both complexes, Bear Lake still showing mixed fortunes as both small carp and the bigger carp to 7lb feed through out different times of the day meat, corn and pellet all finding the fish.
