The last week has seen encouraging times on both rivers and still waters, Carp to nearly 12lb have been showing on at Shepherds Port, bream skimmers and roach showing well on TMB and the Level. The last week has been fairly steady with encouraging news from the vast majority of waters on the klaa permit, Middle Level has again been the main focus of the rivers with bream ,skimmers and roach showing well at the St Germans to Neepes stretch, catches reported to over 35lb have been reported on numerous occasions in the last seven days with bream to 5lb,skimmers to3lb and roach to 12oz reported in the catches. Feeder and pole anglers finding the range at between 11 meters for the pole line and 3/4 across to the far bank has been productive to the tip. worm, caster, pinkie,maggot and bread have all been used as hook bait during the last seven days, seed baits has also seen a few quality roach showing on the pole. Morton's- Crooked chimney, has also been attracting a few anglers with reports of bream and skimmers also a few perch over the 1`lb mark showing on small sections of worm.Roch have also been showing but not as consistent as the top end at St Germans. Ten Mile Bank, a few anglers starting to gather on the banks of the Ouse, Favoured hot spots are know starting to show some fish perch, skimmers,roach tench and the odd slab to 6lb has been reported this week. Modney-Chapel has started to produce some good sport , with catches reported to 14lb pole,whip ,slider and tip all finding the fish. maggot,pinkie,worm,caster all working well when ground bait is used. Wires -Railway bridge has also attracted the odd anglers with reports of fish showing on both the tip and pole. Tench have been showing to the far side on the tip, worm and corn have tempted the tench to 5lb. Tottenhill has again been busy with plenty of anglers on the bank. carp continue to feed well supported by bream and the odd tench , method feeders producing the better catches, corn, maize and pellet being the better baits used. Shepherds Port, plenty of activity on all the lakes, carp showing to 6lb on bear lake, bream and skimmers on Queens, but again Sheherds has been the busiest all week, carp to nearly 12lb have been reported by local rod Stuart Howlett who has been enjoying some good sessions of late, 4 carp and a bream has been recorded in a session on Friday afternoon all caught on a method feeder. Elsewhere on the lake silvers bream tench roach and rudd all feeding well around the lake. Junior News, the Lynn squads descended on the grand union on Saturday for this years junior National, Sadly the venue didn't live up to its potential with very few fish showing, thanks to the whole squad for there hard work and preparation that they gave, also thanks to all the parents that supported the squad.
