The last seven days has been very mixed with some anglers finding the fish and others struggling, The rivers has shown some very mixed sessions. Catches have come from some of the familiar venues, St Germans - Peppers, Neepes and Crooked Chimney were about the only sections with anglers reporting any catches, other areas have struggled during the last week. Bream skimmers, roach and perch have been showing on the hot spots with the majority of the fish taken on the tip, cloud cover has produced better catches during the early morning and late afternoon sessions. sessions around the late morning and early afternoon have produced very little. Ten Mile Bank, anglers catching in odd places at ten mile, Wissey mouth has gone very quiet , Railway Bridge- Wires, has been fairly steady with Bream to 6lb, tench to 8lb skimmers roach and perch all showing on both the pole and the tip. Tip anglers are benefiting more than the pole anglers as the fish seem to be just out of pole range. Sweet ground bait has been selecting the better fish, worm caster and bronze maggot have all been finding the fish when used as a hook bait. The same story as the level with normal hot spots barely showing any fish. Tottenhill, carp showing throughout the day all though morning and evening sessions have been more successful, tench, and bream also feeding well, pellet, corn, maize and paste all finding the carp, 6mm expanders have worked well on method feeders but bream have been showing on these baits as well. Shepherds Port, all the lakes have been showing form of late, Bream and silvers showing well on Queens, Carp feeding aggressively on Bear lake plenty of small carp feeding on 4mm pellets bigger carp to 7lb have been showing on both corn and meat. Shepherds lake has again been busy with anglers catching there targeted species, silver fish nets to 15lb have been recorded, bream and carp have also been showing during a busy week.
