The last seven days has been a very hit and miss affair with some anglers finding the fish and others not being to successful, fish have been showing well on all the venues, but have been shying away from the baits being offered, The top end of the level has been producing the better fish with bream nearing 7lb being reported, carp have also shown at this end to 6lb supported by tench to 5lb and quality roach and rudd. Tip anglers slightly being the more productive all though pole anglers are also reaping the rewards between 10-16 meters. worm and caster finding the better fish, but ledgered corn has been attracting the tench. Saturdays 1st open at Peters Bridge was a tough encounter with very few fish showing, no blanks were recorded but the fish proved difficult to find, Local Rod Mark Smith was 1st with a mixture of roach, and small skimmers to form a net of 7lb 3 oz taken on both the pole and the tip. closely followed by Simon with a net 6lb 14oz and 3rd place went to Jess Rocket with 5lb 5oz. Elsewhere on the level it has been quite quiet with only a handful of catches reported, Neepes to Crooked chimney seen the odd bream with a few skimmers reported, Pingles has also been showing the odd tench and some roach all methods finding some fish but no big weights have been received. TMB very slow this week with only a handful of fish showing around the Wissey Mouth and Railway Bridge to Browns Farm the odd bream to 6lb and tench to 4lb showing also a few roach showing on the pole lines. Tottenhill, Shepherds Port both venues producing fair catches, Carp showing more frequently at Tottenhill to 8lb, bream also very active during the last seven days, tench showing early morning and late afternoon. catches of 11 carp to 8lb 6oz and 5 bream to 4lb have been reported during a morning session. Still a lot of anglers showing around Shepherds Port all the lakes are producing at different times of the day, Early Morning for the bream on Queens, Anytime on Shepherds for all species and afternoon sessions on Bear Lake are proving more beneficial.
