Its been a tough week for anglers on all the rivers as temperatures continue to rise, bright conditions always scatter the fish for cover as shadows are cast on the water. But never the less late afternoon and evening sessions have resulted in some good catches throughout the level.
Roach and tench have been showing well on late afternoon sessions between the Aqueduct and Pingles, maggot and worm finding the better fish on the tip, Crooked Chimney to Neepes has fished hard during the day but come evening nets of skimmers and the odd slab to 7lb has been reported, tench and solitary carp have also showed, corn, maggot and worm being the more dominant baits used. tip anglers being more successful at this end of the level. High Road to Peters has again been affected by the bright conditions but as cloud cover appears catches have been reported, roach, and skimmers have been showing later in the day. Peppers- St Marys has again been the hot spot with anglers benefitting in the late sessions, bream nets over 35lb have been reported in just a couple of hours,  tench to 6lb have been featuring regularly, roach, rudd and skimmers have all been showing in the catches caught, tip and pole both working well. worm, maggot, corn and bread all finding the fish.
River angler notice; Could all anglers ensure there nets are staked out to the maximum as water levels and oxygen levels are low due to the dry spell, do not keep bream in the nets for longer than necessary, as this causes distress to the fish, would all anglers asses the time fish are spent in nets and be aware to release the fish if showing signs of distress whilst the warm weather continues.
Cut off Channel, all though a lot of fish topping between Hilgay Bridge and Fordham Bridge no reports have been received. Relief Channel has been producing catches at Denver, bream and skimmers have been showing, also odd shoals of roach  have been showing at 10-12 meters.
Ten Mile Bank, wissey mouth has been showing bream, skimmers and tench under the shadows of the trees, to the far side. tench also showing well on the margins in the swims around the mouth, corn worm and pellet all producing the fish. else where on Tmb catches have been slow due to the summer sun.
