Keepnets Warning

It's been brought to our attention that bream are suffering due to been kept in keepnets for long periods during this summer weather on our rivers.

Even though it's really good that people are catching well, we need to ensure that the fish are not harmed.

Could all anglers ensure there nets are staked out to the maximum as water levels and oxygen levels are low due to the dry spell, do not keep bream in the nets for longer than necessary as this causes distress to the fish.

Would all anglers therefore reasses the time fish are kept in nets and be aware to release the fish if showing signs of distress whilst the warm weather continues.

Thanks
