Shepherds Port, Shepherds lake has again been showing plenty of fish, Carp continue to feed strongly at the top end of the lake. small boillies corn and maize have been targeting the better fish, Bream to 5lb have been showing around the middle of the lake on the tip, skimmers to 2lb have also been feeding strongly, the bottom end has been producing tench to 5lb, roach,rudd and cruicians also the odd smaller carp around the islands all methods have been producing consistent catches through out the whole lake. Queens lake has been attracting a few more anglers during the last week, bream have been showing well through out the week, Local rod James Holden found one of the lake specimens weighing in a great 10lb 3 oz bream, he also had another smaller bream. other reports have been received of bream to 8lb showing all on the tip. Bear lake has also been showing its old form with solid catches reported during a very busy week, carp up to 12lb have been showing on ledgered meat and corn. Pole anglers have also been finding the fish tight to the island corn and pellet working well to find the carp to 6lb. Tottenhill, another venue which has been a hive of activity during the last week, plenty of carp showing to 8lb but the average carp has been showing around 7lb, reports have been received of a 13lb 9oz common caught on a method feeder. Bream also continue to feed strongly on the match style method feeder presented with either pellet or corn on the hook. maize corn pellet and paste have all been finding the fish during the last week. Lynn juniors are back in action again this weekend in the final of the east coast winter league at Townsend lakes on Sunday. The juniors also had there first practise of the season at Decoy lakes on Saturday in preparation for the u18 national at the venue. the first practise went well with all the squad catching very strongly net weights averaged 65lb.
