All the rivers look in tip top condition as the new season gets underway,Both main rivers looked very inviting leading up to the start of the new season, Middle Level and Ten Mile showing plenty of fish topping and breaking the surface hopefully waiting for the baits from the anglers.
Tottenhill, plenty of anglers around during the last seven days, as the carp looked to have stopped spawning as more bites were showing on the feeder and on the waggler. carp to 8lb have been reported this week all though claims of a twelve pounder showing this week maybe be true.Bream continue to feed well and have been feeding strongly throughout the week, Tench have also been feeding well amongst the lilly pads.
Corn, pellet meat and paste now finding the better fish. Roach also feeding well when presenting maggot on the hook.
Shepherds Port has seen a few more anglers around during the last seven days as the winds moved round creating a milder warmer wind coming off the sea, Queens lake has seen a steady flow of anglers targetting the bream, only the odd report given with indications of bream showing to 7lb, sweet ground bait and worm on the hook finding the fish, also carp to 8lb have been showing slightly up from the normal targeted area.
Bear Lake has also been steady with a few anglers around during most of the week, pole anglers have been finding the carp when presenting a bait tight to the island also drawing the fish away from the island and feeding strongly in the middle of the lake, tip anglers also finding the fish when presenting either corn or meat on the hook. pellet, worm and caster finding the fish on the pole.
Shepherds Lake still the lake favoured for its variety of mixed species, carp showing well during the later stages of the week, best carp reported 10lb 9oz common. bream also feeding well from the middle of the lake all though carp have shown over these baits, tench, crucians and large skimmers have been showing around the island, whip methods, waggler, pole and feeder all finding the fish roach and rudd catches to double figures have been reported on the whip.
Ken Hill has also been  producing quality catches of roach and rudd , with the odd tench to 3lb showing, punched bread, pinkie and maggot all working well.
KLAA Notice could all anglers be aware that no keepnets will be allowed in Shepherds Lake for the foreseeable future.Spawning has caused the stress in the majority of the fish and due to the fishes welfare a decision has been made by the committee that the use of keepnets will be banned with immediate effect.
