The last seven days has seen conditions change rapidly with anglers struggling to find the fish towards the back end of last week. Earlier in the week the roach and tench were feeding strongly with good catches reported, double figure nets of roach were showing around Modney Bridge, Chapel and the Owl Box, pole lines waggler and maggot feeders were all finding the roach on various lines, 9 meters to 25 metres was proving to be the main areas of the fish. Tench also feeding strongly around the wissey mouth area, worm pellet and corn all attracting the fish. Then the north easterly winds arrived and this time the fish decided to take cover as anglers struggled to find any fish from thursday onwards. No reports have been received from the Middle Level as virtually no anglers around, only the odd predator angler on the bank with very little reward. Predator anglers have been reaping the rewards on the Cut Off Channel with two pike reported this week over 18lb, also the Little Ouse has seen plenty of predator anglers around during the chilly conditions over the weekend with pike reported to near 18lb. Tottenhill/Shepherds port both have seen a slow down as the temperatures start to dip, but during the warmer sunlight hours of the day at Tottenhill the odd carp has been feeding also the bream still continue to be feeding aggressively, Shepherds lake was still attracting a few anglers during the beginning of the week with good reports of skimmers roach and rudd, but this tailed off as the anglers started to disappear during the very chilly weekend Match bookings; Sunday 31st October Little Ouse, Mildenhall aa 10 pegs.
