Ten Mile Bank, A glorious week of bright sunshine brought the anglers to the banks, bream and skimmers continue to show up and down the river between the Piggeries and Browns farm, A catch of 27 bream to nearly 5lb and a couple of tench has been reported during the last seven days, early morning sessions and late afternoon sessions are reaping the rewards as the fish move for cover during the bright midday sun. Tench to 6lb also reported from the railway bridge stretch when presenting a worm or a piece of corn on the feeder or just using a straight ledgered piece of corn. Pole lines also finding the fish up and down ten mile with skimmers to 3lb showing on most lines to 11 meters,also tench feeding strongly on the inside lines just away from the near bank admist the cover of the lillys and reeds, Middle Level, St germans to neepes , skimmers showing to 3lb and the odd bream to 6lb reported, also the odd tench and a solitary carp reported by Morton's Bridge, to 5lb, plenty of anglers around basking in the sun but bright conditions with no cloud cover doesn't bear the fruits for the anglers. Peters starting to find the odd small shoal of roach feeding on maggot at 13 meters, with roach up to 10oz reported, nets to 14lb have been reported at Peters, roach being the bulk of the nets. Crocked Chimney, also seeing plenty of anglers around with skimmers being the main stay of fish caught, the odd tench and small rudd also showing, tip anglers finding the better fish in afternoon and evening sessions. Tottenhill, plenty of fish showing during the last week , all though mid morning sessions are proving very difficult to catch, carp to 11lb showing on the tip with a recorded catch of 48 carp in a session reported. bream also showing well on the method feeder, Pellet,paste,and corn all attracting the fish. Shepherds Port, still proving to be a very busy venue with both Shepherds Lake and bear lake seeing plenty of anglers. roach on shepherds starting to feed strongly with fish to 12oz showing throughout the week, rudd and skimmers also showing well during the last seven days, Carp and bream beginning to shy away from the midday sun as catch rates fall during the warmer hours. Evening sessions proving successful on both shepherds and bear lake for the carp.Ken Hill Lake, attracting a few more anglers as the roach and tench start to feed, amongst the shade from the trees, roach and rudd showing to 10oz also tench to 4lb recorded.
