What a great start to the season for the river anglers as fish reported on all the favoured spots of the klaa waters, during the last couple of seasons the 1st week hasn't been that successful. All that has changed during the first week of this new season. TEN MILE BANK, Piggeries, plenty of skimmers and bream reported,and nets to 54lb recorded all on the tip. ![]() Wissey Mouth bream to 7lb reported also skimmers and tench to 6lb, Local rod BILLY the bank man MORRIS , claimed his 1st 50lb plus net of the season when fishing the Wissey mouth stretch for a total haul of 54lb 4oz a catch comprising of 10 bream, 8 skimmers, and a tench he managed to outdo Kings Lynn AA chairman Kelvin Allen by a mere 4oz who was fishing down at the Denver-Piggeries stretch with a net of 54lb comprising of skimmers and bream. Other net weights to over 35lb have been recorded between the mouth and the piggeries including a net of 6 tench for 25lb 9oz and a handfull of skimmers, tip anglers and pole anglers all finding the fish. Railway Bridge- Browns Farm, also bream and skimmers showing with nets to 41lb reported, Tench also feeding strongly Tip anglers finding the better fish with a cast to the midway point and beyond. worm and maggot working well. MIDDLE LEVEL, Peppers, bream to 4lb showing with nets to 40lb reported, also the odd carp showing to 7lb, skimmers also feeding strongly. All methods finding the fish, although plenty of feed is required to hold the fish around. Neepes, mixed bags have been showing all though the majority of fish reported are Bream, Skimmers , Tench and roach Weights to nearly 50lb have been received.all methods are finding the fish but the tip anglers are proving more successful. Pingles normally the venue to find the tench but this year the bream to 6lb have found there way down the level to arrive at Pingles, also the odd tench reported. Tottenhill, still very busy of late as anglers continue to find the the fish, early morning or evening sessions proving to be more beneficial as the better weights are being reported, weights to over 80lb are being reported with pellet, paste and corn finding the better fish. Shepherds Port, all lakes been busy during the last week, with anglers reporting good catches from all the lakes, apart from Queens which continues to be fishing very hard. Net Weights to over 42lb being recorded from Shepherds, with skimmers and bream being the bulk of the nets all though plenty of carp and tench also reported. Bear Lake, also showing some consistency of late with catch rates increasing week on week. plenty of carp to 5lb showing along with plenty of pasties a 1lb.
