ANGLERS are continuing to find the feeding fish at Shepherd's Port, with all lakes producing quality catches.
Bear Lake is now starting to attract more anglers as the carp start to feed. Queens Lake has made a slower start than normal and anglers have preferred to fish either Shepherd's Lake, Bear Lake or Ken Hill.

Shepherd's Lake, has been the busiest lake during the last seven days, with carp up to 13lb 4oz reported from 10-year-old angler Harry Chandler, who smashed his personal best by a weight of more than 2lb with this fine specimen mirror carp. Other anglers have also been finding the bream and carp with nets more than 50lb consistently reported. Roach and rudd are feeding well with skimmers and the odd crucian showing on bread flake. Tench also showing at various pegs around the island swims.

Bear Lake has seen plenty of action with fish reported during the week and at the weekend. Small method feeders are working well when presented with either pellet or corn on the hook. Pole anglers are also finding the fish when presenting their baits close to the island. Corn and maggot for the best
results.

Ken Hill is also starting to provide good sport with roach and rudd showing well in the first couple of pegs. Maggot working well, while adding small nuggets of ground bait.
