Anglers continue to find the feeding fish at Shepherds Port all lakes producing quality catches,Bear Lake also now starting to attract more anglers as the carp start to feed. Queens lake has continued to make a slower start than normal but anglers have preferred to fish either Shepherds Lake,Bear Lake and Ken H ill.Shepherds lake, has been the busiest lake during the last seven days with carp up to 13lb 4oz reported from 10 year old angler Harry Chandler who smashed his personal best by a weight of more than 2lb with this fine specimen,a mirror carp other anglers have also been finding the bream and carp with nets to over 50lb reported consistently. Roach and rudd feeding well with skimmers and the odd crucian showing on bread flake.Tench also showing at various pegs around the island swims. Bear lake has seen plenty of action with fish reported during the week and at the weekend,small method feeders working well when presented with either pellet or corn on the hook. Pole anglers also finding the fish when presenting there baits close to the island corn and maggot for best results. Ken Hill also starting to provide good sport with roach and rudd showing well in the first couple of pegs, maggot working well whilst adding small nuggets of ground bait. Junior News, another victory for the Lynn youngsters during a tense home fixture,Lynn started brightly with all anglers finding the fish from the off , roach and rudd were quickly being picked off by the Lynn squad, but no big fish were being found, During the last hour rivals Lincoln started to find the better stamp fish , but after the good start from the Lynn teams Lincoln were a distance behind, Tom Cockle wrapped up the victory by landing a 4lb 4oz carp, Lynn stole the show again with an outstanding team victory also backed up by the Lynn Holbeach side. 1st Tom Cockle 10lb 1oz. 3rd, Timmy Pepper 7lb 4oz out doing big brother by a mere 2oz . Also section wins for Jimmy Brookes, Gary Harris, and Toby Pepper. Positions on the day, 1st Kings Lynn 8 points, 2nd Holbeach 10 points, 3rd Lincoln A 12 points, This now leaves the juniors 20 points clear going into the final match at Decoy.
