Little Ouse starts to shine

At last the fish have now started to show more frequently on the Little Ouse, the fish now seem to have ventured away from the great ouse.

Most pegs producing plenty of fish, including some 8 to 10 once roach, skimmers,rudd and dace being the more selected fish. pinkie over a bed of ground bait working well on the pole lines with fish caught between 6 to 12 meters, whips are also proving beneficial with catches reported to over 12lb, Pole anglers weights to over 16lb have been reported.

Ten Mile Bank, Modney Bridge- Chapel roach showing between 8-11 meters on the pole also the odd skimmers showing over a dark ground bait laced with pinkie or squat, tip anglers also finding the fish towards the chapel 20-30 meters being the more successful areas.
Cut Off Channel, at last a few anglers now starting to locate the fish, the odd tench showing , also a few skimmers/bream and the odd roach. maybe the fish are returning to this old favoured winter venue.
Middle Level, very few anglers about this week but of the odd few about on the level catches were found at Neepes- Morton's and also at Peters, towards st Marys. roach and skimmers being the bulk of the fish caught. No weights were received.
Shepherds Port, Bear Lake very quiet this week with only a handful of anglers about, only a couple of fish reported.
Shepherds Lake plenty of fish showing around the lake, the carp have started to drift away but the skimmers and bream still feeding strongly.
plenty of roach and rudd showing. Tip anglers and Pole anglers both catching well. nets to over 15lb have been recorded.
Match Date
We would like to announce the KLAA Christmas predator match, to take place on the Ten Mile Bank stretch of the Great Ouse, on Sunday December 20th. It is to be a roving match, using deadbaits & lures only.

There is a £200 winner take all cash prize for highest weight, A £50 cash prize for the biggest individual predator in relation to the current British record, + other tackle prizes & hopefully, dependent upon prize donations we will be running a tackle auction in aid of the Macmillan nurses charity at the prize giving.

There will be a basic predator tackle & bait stall + hot refreshments the draw.
