Fish Thick and Fast

Reports have been coming in thick and fast from anglers fishing on klaa waters, fish fish and more fish the verdict from anglers around the KLAA waters.
Middle Level, now being a very consistent venue, as anglers continue to catch up and down the level.
St Marys-Peppers good sport to be had as plenty of skimmers and roach around ,tench showing close to the inside line also reports of the odd carp showing towards the water split on the sand bar. seed baits now starting to attract the roach, whilst skimmers are showing on the caster. nets to 26lb 9oz reported.
Peters-High Road again plenty of anglers around all catching fish on all methods, skimmers roach, perch and the odd tench showing nets to over 33lb recorded. maggot and seed baits working well on the pole line , small worm and caster on the slider and worn and corn on the tip.
Neepes-Crooked Chimney, probably the most consistent area on the level at the moment with catch rates up from this time last year, roach showing on the pole and whip with nets reported to over 33lb also plenty of mixed bags of skimmers and roach and the odd bream showing to nets of over 41lb. All methods currently fishing well.
Aqueduct-Pingle Bridge, plenty of roach and rudd showing also the odd tench being picked up from  the margins, tip and pole anglers benefiting the most, nets to over 20lb reported.
Ten Mile Bank, Denver -Piggeries, skimmers and bream showing also the odd roach and perch feeder for best results, worm and caster on the hook over a bed of ground bait, nets to over 26lb reported.
Wissey Mouth -Railway Bridge, the most popular venue at present on TMB, plenty of skimmers and a few big bream to 8lb showing , the trees, being the more dominant area.
Tench also showing to over 7lb from the reed lined areas. feeder and method feeder working well, also slider producing the skimmers. worm, corn, caster and bunches of maggot for best results.
Browns -Chapel, a few more anglers around all finding the fish nets to over 12lb being the average skimmers and roach targeted. hemp,tares and berries working well for the roach.
Modney- still quite slow but a few anglers around , small roach, and the odd skimmer reported. no net weights recorded.
Tottenhill very busy of late with anglers catching well corn and pellet on the method feeder for best results biggest reported fish this week was a 11lb 1 oz common.Jordan's 11lb 8oz Mirror
Shepherds Port, also very busy during the last week with anglers all catching well on both bear lake and shepherds lake, Father and son Martin and Jordan Chandler finding the carp again this week on Shepherds Lake. Jordan beating dad by catching a mirror of 11lb 8oz (see picture) and also a further 7 carp between 6lb and 10lb whilst dad Martin managed 5 carp between 7lb and 9lb. Plenty of silvers showing on the pole line and bream also taking a liking to the method feeders on offer.  nets to over 65lb reported.
Bear Lake, another very busy venue during the last week , plenty of fish showing corn and pellet working well.
NOTICE. Could all anglers who fish the Middle Level be reminded , that no digging the banks or digging out swims is permitted also could anglers when walking to the swims  keep away from the farmers crops as the crops are being damaged when tackle is carried to the pegs.
Shepherds Lake will be closed on Saturday for  the juniors 12 hour match.
MATCH DATE. Crooked Chimney will be closed on Wednesday 26th August,  20 peg match.
 
KLAA will be hosting part of the national  eastern region shield  on the great ouse along with Littleport on October3rd, Lynn will be holding 3 opens in preparation for this event, all KLAA members will pay no pegging fee just the pools of £5.00 whilst non members will pay £3.00 pegging fee plus £5.00 pools.
Saturday 29th August Browns farm stretch.
Sunday 13th September Chapel Stretch.
Saturday 26th September pegs 147-182. (watersmeade)
