Kings Lynn waters are now producing at more consistant levels, plenty of fish showing during the last week, no out and out massive nets to report but more consistant catches are being found at both the level and on the ouse. Also the still waters are proving to be consistant as plenty of cloud cover has appeared during the last week along with some sharp downpours of rain it has increased the flows and put some colour into the water. St Germans, plenty of anglers about, all catching relatively well on all methods. Pole lines working well for some quality roach and rudd, tip anglers fearing well on the tip targetting mainly skimmers to nearly 2lb, frequent nets to over 25lb being reported. Peters, busy again during the last week with all anglers catching fish skimmers showing well on the tip to nearly 2lb also plenty of roach and perch showing on the pole line, also skimmers falling well to caster baits up In the water, odd roach now showing to hemp. High Road to Crooked Chimney, skimmers and roach being the main target species, also the odd slab reported, also an odd carp or two has been reported between Mortans and Crooked. nets to over 33lb recorded. Aqueduct, nets to over 18lb being the average, with skimmers, roach, perch and the odd tench to over 5lb showing. No reports from the top end of the level have been received. Ten Mile Bank, Denver end still producing plenty of skimmers to over a pound also the odd slab to 5lb reported towards the piggeries. Mixed bags reported from around the Wissey Mouth, tench to over 6lb showing on the pole line while bream showing to over 6lb just yards away from the Mouth, Railway Bridge through to Browns, nets to over 20lb being the average with good nets of mixed fish , tench, bream , skimmers and perch with a few odd roach being the bulk of the nets. Chapel, not many anglers around during the last week but of those who have fished this stretch fish are showing on both the feeder and the pole. no weights have been received for this stretch. Danby Drove, plenty of roach showing at this end of the great ouse ,pole lines reaping the rewards with nets to 15lb being reported. Tottenhill plenty of carp feeding now in open water at last giving the anglers a fighting chance of landing the fish. sweetcorn and pellet being the favoured baits used. Could all anglers who fish Tottenhill kindly take their litter home rather than leave tins and litter in the bushes. This can become very dangerous for the people who look after the waters when cutting the grass and the bushes to keep it looking a very appealing venue. Shepherds Port all waters fishing well , plenty of fish around at shepherds lake, all methods working well. Bear lake plenty of fish around both old stock and new stock showing, pellet corn and small cubes of meat being the more reliable baits . Queens very quite of late as the bream anglers have started to descend on the rivers. Notice, please could all anglers refrain from taking their cars onto the banks of the middle level and only use the parking areas to park, this is a club bylaw so could all anglers follow the rules which are clearly stated in the club permit. KLAA will be hosting part of the national eastern region on the great ouse along with Littleport on October 3rd, Lynn will be holding 3 opens in preparation for this event, all klaa members will pay no pegging fee just the pools of £5.00 whilst non members will pay £3.00 pegging fee plus £5.00 pools.
