TON PLUS NETS REPORTED ON BOTH THE LEVEL AND TEN MILE

At last good nets showing at both ten mile and the level, bream being the targeted species on both waters, anglers working hard to hold fish in the swims as they arrive.

Middle Level, plenty of fish showing up and down the level  with catch rates up to this time last year , cloud cover produced the big bream to over 7lb and skimmers to nearly 3lb tench also showing at various locations on the level,

St Marys skimmers, roach and rudd on the pole line, also the odd tench to nearly 5lb showing , regular feeding producing the bigger nets. maggot and small worm working well on the tip for the bigger skimmers, caster and red maggot for the pole line,

Peters- High Road,still very busy of late with catches to over 38lb reported, roach showing on the hemp line and caster being taken up in the water.

Neepes - Mortons, big nets reported with catches up on this stretch, local  rod Mark Smith finding the fish during the weekend with a net of over a ton of bream plus over 20lb of bits.

Crooked Chimney, also now starting to produce some good mixed nets  the odd tench and bream showing with the addition of a stray carp to over 14lb.

Aqueduct to Pingles plenty of roach and small skimmers also a few tench showing around the bridge area.

Ten Mile Bank. Denver -Piggeries bream showing at this end to over 6lb with a few roach and perch showing to, nets to over 80lb reported beyond the boats towards Denver. worm picking out the better fish, fish meal based ground bait for best results.

Wissey Mouth plenty of anglers around some finding the fish for good results and some catching just the smaller fish, bream to over 5lb reported,

Railway bridge, another venue to produce a 100 lb plus net, caught on the tip, bream being the main captured species to over 7lb. plus a  couple of tench to 6lb  and 6 skimmers to nearly 2lb all caught using worm topped with red maggot over a bed of  ground bait.

Browns-Chapel  plenty of skimmers and perch with the odd decent roach  all being caught on the pole lines , tip anglers finding the odd bigger fish including the odd tench, but bites are fairly slow coming .

No reports were received from Modney to Danby.

KLAA will be hosting part of the eastern region  on the great ouse along with Littleport on October 3rd, Lynn will be holding 3 opens in preparation for this event, all klaa members will pay no pegging fee just the pools of £5.00 whilst non members will pay £3.00 pegging fee plus £5.00 pools.

Sunday 13th September Chapel Stretch.

Shepherds port very busy during the last week with anglers about on all lakes, catches reported well on both Bear Lake and Shepherds Lake.

Queens lake rather quiet as anglers move away to the rivers , no reports from Ken Hill Lake.

Tottenhill plenty of carp showing amongst the lilly pads and against the reed line edges but drawing them away from there safety zone is another problem snap offs  becoming more frequent as the carp are feeding aggressively best reported carp this week was a 12lb 9 oz  common caught on maize.

bream showing and continually taking the sweetcorn baits on offer which are being targeted for the carp on a method feeder.
