Kings Lynn chairman was rumoured to be on the bank at Ten Mile over the weekend, where it is said he found the fish close to the wissey mouth, with over 30lb of fish for a good mixed bag. Other reports on Ten Mile of anglers finding the bream downstream of the piggeries with fish reported to over 7lb. Also good mixed bags of skimmers, bream, roach and perch at the chapel stretch downstream towards Browns Farm. and also upstream of Modney bridge at the owl box nets of roach to over 15lb reported. Middle Level, Not many anglers about as the temperatures continued to rise but fish reported at both St Marys and at the stretch between Neepes and the Pingles. not many reports of what catches have been reported but skimmers at the neepes end whilst at St Marys end a mixture of mixed bags including the odd tench , skimmers, solitary bream, rudd and roach. Saturdays open match at the Middle level at Peters Bridge has been cancelled. Shepherds Port. Bear Lake, bigger carp feeding more dominantly than of late with catch rates showing a few more carp around the 5lb mark plenty of the new carp showing with catches reported to nearly 70 fish in some sessions. Queens Lake. very slow during the last week as anglers struggle to find the bream, conditions have been very bright and the water was still at times so conditions were not favoured for the anglers. only the odd fish was recorded. Shepherds Lake. Again the on form water at the present time with carp reported to over 12lb, bream to 5lb showing on all methods. nets to over 63lb recorded from this mixed fishery. carp,bream,cruician carp, rudd, skimmers and roach all showing on the different baits and methods. Tottenhill. Busy over the last week with catches reported from all around the lake, roach catches on the waggler whilst using maggot, carp on the method feeder with corn or pellet on the hook, bream on the feeder with worm presented on the hook. biggest carp reported last week was a 14lb 3 oz common. |
