Another season closes for all the kings lynn anglers, but during the last week alot more fish were caught from both lakes and rivers, After the long hard winter temperatures finally started to rise as the season ended, but some anglers were fortunate enough to land some fish they shall never forget.Middle Level, Father and son Martin and Jordan Chandler finally found the bigger the fish during the last week on the level, At the early part of the week dad Martin found some good pike at the St Germans end of the level, The pike taking a liking to the eel baits on offer to produce a brace of double figure pike one of 10lb 8oz and 12lb. Then during the last knockings of the season son Jordan captured his 1st double figure zander 10lb 4oz whilst using smelt as bait, Jordan landed his first double figure zander after many hard earned hours of patrolling the banks of the level. Elsewhere on the level a few roach were recorded but sadly no big bream were caught during the last days of this campaign. ![]() Ten Mile Bank, a few promising reports of fish at the Chapel, Browns Farm and the Wissey Mouth, early season tench and the odd smaller bream were reported from the Chapel, the Mouth saw a 7lb 4oz tench , 3 bream to 3lb and some skimmers to form a net of just over 20lb. whilst Browns producing pike to near double figures. River Wissey, still managed to hold its form until the season finished with plenty of anglers around during the last week. nets to 26lb reported from this hot spot. Tottenhill, a few fish around during the later part of the week , bream and skimmers falling to maggot and even a few carp did make an appearance at the weekend best fish was a 9lb 4oz mirror. Shepherds Port also looked to start improving as the weather began to warm, carp to 5lb did show on sweetcorn on bear lake while a carp to 8lb 2oz was plucked from Shepherds lake. Early Saturday morning saw klaa secretary Ash Brown fishing a section of the South Holland drain managed the catch of a life time whilst jigging. Ash took 7 perch ranging from 2lb 4oz to 4lb 4oz a session never to be forgot. ![]() Junior News, Sunday saw the 6Th round of the East Coast Winter League at Dents Farm Hilgay, in a very hard encounter the youngsters of Lynn gave their all and finished the day in 3rd place but still making up ground for the final 2 legs, top rod for Lynn was Damian Evans who finished 2ND overall with a net of 11lb 9oz and was the only angler to land a carp.
