As predicated another tough week was in store for all the anglers who ventured out onto the banks. Some fish were caught in a slightly more encouraging week, Temperatures did eventually rise above freezing during the week. This did start to encourage a few anglers to the banks, but at the start of the weekend heavy wind and rain did manage to drive the anglers back into the warmth of there homes.

Ten Mile Bank, a tough venue to crack at the best of times but during the winter months at Modney Bridge a few roach are normally making a frequent appearance but this is not the case at the moment, the roach have moved round to Danby and the owl box were some nets were reported to nearly 10lb of bits, squat and pinkie being the favoured bait,

Bait droppers working well in getting the bait to the bottom, as flows have been steady. Colour in the water has helped produce on the pole line. Wissey Mouth has also seen a few anglers during the last week, signs of the bigger fish topping looked quite hopeful, but only a couple of bream did show, the odd roach, and a handful of perch have been reported. Predator anglers have also been catching the odd small pike at the mouth.

Middle Level, no reports have been received but a few pike to 10lb have shown from both Neepes and the Crocked Chimney.

River Wissey, a local hot spot which is continuing to fish well on both sides of the A10 bridge, Plenty of roach to nearly 10oz being caught on the seed, and the smaller fish picking off the maggot, nets to 19lb recorded, from upstream of the a10. Bread and ground bait attracting the fish hemp, tares, and maggot for hook for best results.

Little Ouse the winter fishing ground of late as anglers continue to gather down this favoured hot spot. nets to 21lb reported and frequent catches of 10-12 lb being recorded hemp and maggot for best results,

Tottenhill/bear lake and shepherds lake at last  some odd fish have started to show now a milder temperature has arrived, and now the ice has melted . small baits working . catches reported but no weights given.
