Junior superteam angler Tom Cockle also a sponsored angler from Specialist Angling Supplies, won the East Coast round 4 leg at Head Fen Fishery on Sunday, all the youngsters from Lynn arrived early at the venue only to be roped in to help breaking the ice by pulling a boat around on this snake lake. The ice had set nearly 3mm thick but as the sun started to come through it was decided the match could carry on. A delayed start did help but some anglers did not just have the fish in there pegs no matter what they done. Tom fished to the far side at 13.5 metres in to a small hole and placed his bait tightly against a reed bush and reaped its rewards by putting 20lb 8oz in the net. All the youngsters fished very well in some appalling conditions as the temperature did not rise above freezing point all day. Kirsty Reed also secured a section win to enable the team to move up the table to 3rd place and only 1 point behind the 2ND place team. Special thanks to the parents and anglers for attending and fishing the match in the coldest day of the year so far. Ten Mile Bank.
