Little Ouse, catch rates are up on this winter stretch, with plenty of anglers about all week, Hemp and tares working well at the bridge stretch. Nets reported to 18lb during the week, Sunday saw the Little Ouse host its first open of the year, 25 mad anglers arrived amongst the snow and freezing rain. Conditions did play a part for the anglers who were pegged downstream  towards the canal boats, icy winds and heavy snow, and driving rain which turned to ice on the poles, made conditions at points unfishable, but some anglers soldiered on to the end.

At the bridge end conditions were a bit easier with the high banks and tree laden roadway blocking some of the elements. Dave ,Dave and Dave scooping the honours. 1st place was Dave Burton 15lb 6oz, 2nd place Dave Cooper 11lb 6oz ,3rd place Dave Lee 9lb 8oz

River Wissey, another venue which is holding on to its form of late with good nets to 17lb reported in the early part of the week, plenty of roach dace and perch,

Ten Mile Bank, a few anglers about all week up until  the weekend most anglers catching  some areas better than others. Modney Bridge now attracting a few more anglers with more fish showing.Nets to 12lb 6oz reported. bream on the tip, tench in the margins and roach at 7/9 metres on the pole lines. Chapel also producing some fair nets to 10lb mainly skimmers and roach. No reports received for the Wissey Mouth through to Denver.

Middle Level, continues to fish hard for all anglers including the specimen hunters.A couple of small pike to 8lb reported at the Pingles and a zander  to 7 lb at Morton's Bridge not as many predator fish being reported. also at Neepes and Peters a few skimmers and roach reported.

Also reports of rubbish being left in swims on the Level, all anglers must take their litter home, any angler who does not abide by these rules and are caught by the bailiffs will be reported to the committee and therefore permits could be withdrawn. This is a rule which is clearly stated in the anglers permit.

Tottenhill, still very patchy as the concerns from the blue algae are still in place, some carp have been caught but conditions are very temperamental.

Shepherds Port, Ken Hill and Queens lake are now closed  for the remainder of the season. Queens was a very popular venue with the bream still showing to the end , Ken Hill proved very hard to get too fish as anglers couldn't take the cars through the gates as the ground was to wet.Shepherds Lake still plenty of anglers about during the earlier part of the week all anglers catching well, plenty of roach, rudd and skimmers.
