After some early frosts at the beginning of the week and milder temperatures towards the back of the week, ideal angling weather looked on hand but not the torrents of rain which came down on Saturday evening through to Sunday mid morning, Early part of the week reports of good roach nets along the Great Ouse at Ten Mile Bank, and at Danby Drove, so waiting with anticipation and looking forward to some eagerly awaited nets of roach from Ten Mile. Only a couple of roach nets reported on the Ouse.

Ten Mile Bank, Roach showing in the earlier part of the week at Modney, Chapel, and the Browns Farm stretch, skimmers and the odd slab further downstream towards the Mouth and at Denver. Tench also showing at the mouth and the piggeries.

Middle Level, again anglers about in the early stages of the week but not many about during the weekend, Saturday proved to be very hard on the level with the north easterly wind blowing down the level into anglers faces. A few fish did show during the week, a tench of over 9lb and some bream to nearly 8lb a piece showing on a more favourable stretch, Angler did not want to be named or location passed on.

River Wissey, now attracting the anglers with some good roach and dace showing also a couple of chub were reported from upstream of Hilgay Bridge. Bread and seed working well on the pole lines. Tip anglers also having some good success.

Little Ouse, very busy during the last week with plenty of anglers about during the week and on Saturday, 15lb nets roach nets reported during the week and 16lb 4oz reported on Saturday all baits working and catching well over a small bed of ground bait and plenty of loose feed.

Tottenhill, busy during the week with plenty of anglers about. Some carp were caught but not many as the over night temperatures dropped to minus 2 on the first three nights of the week, sending the carp to the deeper holes, plenty of roach and skimmers showing to the maggot baits on offer.

Shepherds Port another busy venue during the week but this tailed off at the weekend, plenty of bream still showing on Queens Lake. Worm still being the best bait for success. Shepherds Lake still continuing to fish well with good nets recorded, Bear Lake not many anglers being successful on this lake.
