Survey ResultsOn the 9th of October 2008 the Central Area’s Ecological Appraisal Team carried out a stock assessment investigation on the Relief Channel immediately downstream of Denver sluice, at the request of Kings Lynn Angling Association (KLAA).  Link Here

At the time of the investigation up to 12 cumecs of water was being discharged into the Relief Channel from the Ely Ouse following high flows. Before the netting operation could commence this flow had to be reduced and it was agreed at the time of the investigation that the centre sluice gate (one of three) would be closed down completely and remain closed whilst the netting operation took place. This provided a small window of opportunity in which two seine nettings could take place, safely and effectively.

The attached pdf files are from an  earlier hydroaccustic survey undertaken in August. But provides sound supporting evidence that the seine netting results weren't a one off in this area.

Many thanks to the EA team for providing us the information.
