At last the rivers are now taking the anglers away from the still waters as most of the rivers in the klaa membership book are performing well, Middle level was the on form river earlier in the season but now Ten Mile strikes back with some very good fishing to be had from most of the favoured spots. Ten Mile now starting to fish as of old with good nets reported up and down the Great Ouse, This looks very encouraging for next weeks Eastern Region Shield. Denver to the Piggeries, plenty of skimmers a few slabs ,tench and perch are all showing with nets over 23lb reported.Piggeries to Railway bridge fishing well with plenty of roach showing on seed and berries also plenty of skimmers bream and a few tench reported from this hot spot nets to 28lb reported from pleasure anglers. Railway bridge to Browns Farm now starting to produce some good weights with good signs of roach, skimmers, perch, tench and bream. Chapel to Modney Bridge alot of fish showing on this popular winter stretch not saying its winter yet but plenty of fish showing with nets to 20lb plus. Modney to Danby Drove also showing plenty of fish including skimmers and roach. all these venues are producing the fish, whilst working hard to bring them in and holding them in the swim, all methods working, Baits to try include maggot, pinkie, seed, corn and worm. Middle Level, another stretch of water which is performing exceptionally well with catch rates up on all the popular hot spots, St Germans to Crooked Chimney good fishing to be using a variety of baits, maggot for skimmers, hemp, for roach, worm for bream and tench, fished slightly over depth, over a light groundbait. Crooked to Pingle bridge, plenty of fish reported tench more around this stretch, also plenty of perch on the worm lines, skimmers and roach taking most maggot variations. Junior News, Some of the juniors from the kings lynn superteam represented Boston in the Lincolnshire championships at the weekend at Brigg on the river Ancholme., Lynn junior anglers were Kirsty Reed, Damian Evans ,Tom Cockle, Gary Harris and local Boston angler Reece Dillamore. all the juniors performed very well with all Lynn anglers finishing in the top 6 . Damian Evans won the individual title with 17lb 13oz , Kirsty Reed was 3rd overall with 13lb 11oz 4th place overall was Tom Cockle 9lb 6oz and 5th place was Gary Harris 7 lb 12 oz and 6th place was Reece Dillamore. This helped Boston bring the trophy home for another year. This weekend is the start of the East Coast Winter league with the youngsters of Lynn fishing on the Fosdyke Canal at Lincoln. Downham Market AC have a match booked on Saturday 12 pegs Crooked Chimney.
