Tottenhil. Plenty of fish being caught during the last week, late afternoon and evening sessions are baring the fruits as anglers continue to catch, carp to 11lb 9oz reported and estimated catches to be near 70lb corn still proving to be the most successful bait both on the pole and on the tip. A few tench have also shown as have a lot of bream during the last week all falling to corn and bunches of maggot. Shepherds Port, again plenty of fish to be had on all the lakes but times of the day are playing a part as to when the fish feed. Bear lake proving to anglers that afternoon sessions are more rewarding than early morning sessions as this is when the carp feed more aggressively as a local angler pointed out that all morning he sat without a bite but come the afternoon he managed to bag 11 carp in a 2 hour blitz. Queens lake, being different as early morning sessions are attracting the bream to form nets over 50lb biggest bream reported this week was 6lb 11 oz, worm still attracting the better fish but red maggot is also producing plenty of smaller bream and skimmers. Shepherds Lake, time is not important on this very productive silver fish lake as pleasure anglers gather at all times of the day to record some very strong net weights to 14lb 9oz on the pole line and tip anglers to 17lb skimmers, bream roach and rudd being the more dominant fish. Ken Hill, this little canal style channel is now attracting a few more anglers than of late as plenty of roach and rudd are showing also a few tench have been tempted into the net whilst using tiny pieces of worm. Middle Level. Again plenty of anglers about during the last week as the weather warmed up, plenty of fish about on all stretches of the level, seed baits and berries now finding the bigger roach, worm and bronze maggot finding the skimmers and bream, a few tench at both Neepes and Pingle Bridge using corn and maize.Roach showing at St Germans end along with a few quality rudd, skimmers at Peters and bream at Crooked chimney. Ten Mile Bank. Another busy venue this week as plenty of fish showing from all the favoured hot spots Modney Bridge to the chapel stretch producing roach and skimmers , Browns farm to Railway Bridge bream skimmers roach and tench , Wissey Mouth to the Piggeries, carp bream skimmers and perch , Denver bream, skimmers ,roach and perch all showing on all methods, pole, slider and tip all benefiting and catching steadily.hard working anglers proving more successful, maggot, berries, seed, worm and castor all being a favoured bait to try.
