Ten Mile Bank: continues to fish well despite the recent downpours. Conditions have improved during the last week on the Great Ouse as heavy downpours have started to put a tinge of colour into the water bringing the fish to feed more confidently. With more heavy rainfall predicted this week could add more colour to the water and help the anglers to encourage more fish into there designated swims. Good fishing to be had on virtually all the favoured areas of the Ouse. Denver to Wissey Mouth showing good signs of roach and skimmers with a few slabs also reported, seed and berries now picking out the better roach. maggot and worm still finding the skimmers and the odd bream. Wissey mouth to Browns Farm still attracting plenty of anglers who could benefit from the colour of the water as the roach and skimmers are staying away from the inside line, pole method at 9-11 metres working well for the roach and skimmers, a few tench and quality sized perch have also been showing on the tip to the far bank. Browns Farm to Modney Bridge now one of the most favoured stretches during the last week as skimmers, roach, tench and bream have all been reported with nets to 23lb. Middle Level: continues to grow from strength to strength as all the venues are constantly reporting good weights and good a good quality stamp of fish, hemp seed and maggot being the most consistent baits to try. St Marys to Magdalen High road still producing plenty of fish with pleasure nets to 18lb reported. skimmers and roach making up the bulk of the nets. Also the predator anglers are now starting to appear on these stretches in search of the specimens that they sort for. Neeps to Crooked Chimney still one of the better sections to try for all species with nets to nearly 28lb reported from pleasure anglers. Aqueduct to Pingle Bridge still producing plenty of skimmers and a few decent tench, also some roach being caught on berries and fluro maggot. Shepherds Port: Still plenty of anglers around during the last week as all lakes have been producing the fish, Bear lake has fished better than of late as catch rates have slowed up during the recent downpours not many fish caught during the weekend but better catches were reported earlier in the week. Queens Lake continues to be the pick of the crop with the bream anglers as the bream continue to feed strongly even though weather conditions changed. Shepherds Lake, the most favoured from all pleasure anglers as all fish continue to feed strongly in this lake, bream, skimmers, roach and rudd and even a couple of small tench have started to show from under the plant matting.
