TEN MILE SHOWS ENCOURAGING SIGNSTen Mile Bank at last showing some encouraging signs up and down the more popular sections of the Great Ouse. Denver starting to show good signs of fish as is the Piggeries with some encouraging nets repoerted. Skimmers and roach being the bulk of the nets. Wissey Mouth still proving to be the most favourable place for the bream and carp anglers although a few good tench have also been reported this week. Railway Bridge through to the Chapel stretch producing some better catches with skimmers tench roach and perch making up the weights to form some good match weights 23lb reported. Runcton Holme AC held their match on sunday on the chapel stretch and all anglers caught, Dave Burton winning with a weight of 12lb 8oz, skimmers and roach making up his net. 2nd place was Graham Smith 8lb 7oz and 3rd place was Andy Bowers 5lb 5oz. Modney Bridge through to Danby Drove now producing the roach also plenty of small skimmers and perch. Middle Level again producing some consistant catches, weights are up on this venue as the anglers continue to fish from various locations on the level. Pingles, showing tench and skimmers, and some good sized perch also eels have been reported in some catches from this end of the level. Crocked Chimney plenty of fish around with bream and skimmers being the main targeted species. Neeps to the High Road plenty of silvers reported also a few predator anglers starting to find the fish. Peters being the pick of the bunch as anglers continue to favour this area as plenty of fish showing both on the tip and on the pole. Saturdays Match between the KLAA superteam juniors and the KLAA select team was won by Dave Burton with 11lb 9oz skimmers and roach on the tip, 2nd place was taken by junior angler Damian Evans 8lb 9oz on the pole line and 3rd place was Mark Smith 7lb 14oz. St Marys to Peters showing some good weights as a few tench and bream have been showing also roach and rudd on the pole line. Tottenhill, still very busy as lots of anglers about, still fishing very well as the carp continue to feed strongly, pole anglers and tip anglers all catching on all methods corn and pellet still proving to be the better baits to try. Could all anglers please take home all your litter as reports of plenty of litter around numerous pegs, also could all anglers take home all their unused bait as this helps to promote a healthier fishery. Shepherds Port, good numbers of anglers around on all the lakes as good fishing can be had on all the waters, plenty of bream on Queens, silvers galore on Shepherds, Carp crazy on Bear lake and roach and rudd frenzy on Ken Hill.
