KEEPNET BAN IN PLACE AT TOTTENHILLMiddle Level: still very encouraging reports coming from this inform venue, as anglers continue to catch well on all favoured hot spots from up and down the level. St Marys to Magdalen High Road producing some cracking silver fish nets with plenty of skimmers and roach and rudd making up some big nets to 35lb reported,even the odd tench and big perch are taking a liking to the baits being offered close to the rod tips. Neepes to Morton's still proving be a great place to attract the bigger roach whilst using the seed baits.Crooked Chimney producing the larger fish and the bigger weights on all methods and maggot/worm baits. Best reported net was 49lb 4 oz . The Aqueduct through to Pingle bridge plenty of silvers and also the tench seem to be showing more up this end of the level, nets to 28lb reported. Ten Mile Bank: are things starting to improve on the Great Ouse as a few more catches have been reported from some of the more popular venues , Bream still continuing to show at the Wissey Mouth but not in big volumes although a few more are now showing, skimmers and roach now showing at the chapel and a the roach are also starting to show at the Modney Bridge area. Carp anglers are still being left frustrated by the bream at the wissey mouth but a few carp have been showing during the last week. Tottenhill: The carp have gone a little quite as of late as the warm spell has progressed but early or late sessions are still proving to provide the better sport carp over 10lb have been showing in the evening sessions corn, and maize working well. NOTICE. Due to the recent warm spells and the sharp thunder storms , Keepnets have now been banned at Tottenhill. So keepnets will not be allowed for the foreseeable future, This is to protect the fishery and also to help preserve the conditions of both the fish and the water. Also please take home all unused bait, as this also helps to improve the fishery. Shepherds Port: Plenty of anglers about during the last week as this consistant fishery continues to thrive in all weathers, Good catches reported from all the lakes although bear lake proving to be tougher than the rest. Shepherds, plenty of silvers around on all methods, Pole lines,feeders,and wagglers all producing good nets. maggot/corn and worm for best results.Bear lake still being unpredictable but better weights reported in the early morning and late evening sessions as this is proving to be the better times to fish. Ken Hill plenty of roach and rudd around from all the swims, small maggot baits working well also a tiny piece of bread flake, over a crumb mix sorting out the bigger fish. Queens Lake,plenty of bream showing,feed pellet working well also plenty of roach taking a liking to the pellets on offer, best baits to try hard banded pellet or worm/castor on the hook.
