Ten Mile Bank A good but quite start has been the verdict from most anglers on the banks of the klaa rivers. Good sized fish caught from the more popular regions , Young 12 year old Alex Dowe recordered a fine personal best with a 7lb 4oz tench from Ten Mile Bank, Nick Wright also capturing a pb with a fine brace of bream to 8lb 3oz and 7lb 6oz. Elsewhere on Tmb fish showing up and down the ouse but catch rates could be stronger as the fish are still spawning. Middle Level, Good nets reported up and down the level nets to 62 lb recorded, bream and tench at St Marys skimmers and roach to good stamp and perch prom Peppers all making up some good weights even a 10lb zander being reported at the bottom end of the level. Relief Channel also showing plenty of anglers about after the bigger fish, big numbers of anglers reported on friday night. River Wissey, good shoals of roach reported from up and the wissey. Tottenhill. some really good weights recorded this week carp now feeding more freely after spawning, nets to 75lb reported by a couple of anglers as did the brothers Brown young Kallum and Jordon both had nearly 60lb nets of carp. Bream and tench also continuing to feed with some confidence, good shoal nets of bream to 54lb on Saturday.Biggest carp of the week was an 11lb 2oz mirror. Shepherds Port, All lakes are now beginning to fish well, a big improvement on bear lake as the carp now start to feed more frequently, also plenty of small silvers .nets to 68lb reported in the week, biggest fish was an 8lb 9oz common. Queens lake still producing the big bream and the odd carp but this is a dominant bream water, Pellet and corn now attracting the bigger bream as the sweet ground baits are now being used. Shepherds Lake probably been the most consistent lake of the ports complex still very good fishing to be had as the silvers feed dominantly.Bream and skimmers on the tip and roach/skimmers and hybrids on the pole. KLAA notice, It has been bought to the clubs attention by the middle level commissioners that anglers are digging the banks to fish from, could anglers please refrain from doing this, as this is not allowed and this breaks the terms and conditions of the Kings Lynn aa lease. If this practise continues the commissioners will withdraw the right to fish and the main drain will be closed to fishing. Kings Lynn AA are currently working with the commissioners and the EA to provide additional platforms so please do not jeopardise this work. |
