October saw the start of the East Coast again with a tough away trip on the Fossdyke Canal at Lincoln, the canal in some parts was unfishable with duck weed covering the entire canal, only when the boats came through this created a channel to fish, but the Lynn team were quick to realise that if they got there bait down under the weed the fish were there. So they all mounted there tackle boxes in search of heavier floats, once selected and the fish being caught there was no looking back for the lynn teams, 1st Tom Cockle, section wins for Kirsty Reed , Gary Harris, and Damien Evans picking up a 2nd in section this gave the Lynn team a well deserved victory. Lynn Squads, Tom Cockle, Kirsty Reed, Gary Harris, Damien Evans, blue squad, Rocky Murley, Harry Backmur, Brendan Strowlger also won section,The next east coast match was fished at our own Shepherds Port venue, again Lynn dominated with Tom Cockle continuing were he left of in the last round and won the match, Kirsty Reed and Damien Evans picking up section wins also Harry Blackmur captured a section win. So far Lynn are currently leading the east coast winter league , but as the season goes on will Lynn continue to lead the way. |
