The fishing runs from the new road bridge adjacent to the Old Bedford Sluice for just under 3 miles of bank.

Car parking at Salter’s Lode situated just off the A1122 West of Downham Mkt.

Access and car parking is only at the Sluice end however.

This is part of the fenland drainage scheme runs off at low tide only, width around 20 metres and average depth 6 ft.
